While the Search Committee is busy preparing to launch its search for a new vicar, the Parish Profile Committee is busy preparing a parish profile, a document that will include things like: who we are, our history, how we worship, finances, our ministries, fellowship activities, the surrounding community, etc. The purpose of the parish profile is to enable potential applicants to become familiar with St. Thomas. Once the parish profile is approved, it will be put on the website so that the Search Committee will be able to launch its search. Candidates may check out the profile to see if St. Thomas is a place they'd like to consider serving and apply for the position of vicar.
After recently meeting with The Rev. Canon Allisyn Thomas for orientation, the Profile Committee quickly set about deciding on content, making assignments, and setting milestones and deadlines. Its goal is to have the final draft completed and approved by the end of September.
