Position and Profile Posted
The nominating sub-committees have been working diligently over the last month and here are their latest progress updates as of March 1.
Profiling: we completed the diocesan profile and it was published online on March 1. We encourage all to view the profile. Printed copies will be available and distributed to parishes soon.
Nominating and Screening: we have been busy over the last month finalizing the application packet and the process for accepting nominations and applications. We are working on guidelines for paper screening and essay evaluation. If you know someone who may be called to be our bishop, please encourage that person to apply or, with their permission, submit a nomination form. The deadline for nominations is March 27. The deadline for applications is April 10. (See below for the link to the application process.) This is an exciting time as we pray for all those across the church who may be in discernment about whether to enter the process with us.
Interviewing and Discerning: we are beginning to address the challenges and technicalities of online interviewing. Our work here will feed into the interviewing process and guidelines.
Educating and Communicating: we continue to support other committees in sending diocesanwide announcements and progress reports.
Listening and Surveying: the work of the listening session-survey subcommittee was completed in January and outputs from this sub-committee have been shared with other teams.
