The Parish Profile Committee is working diligently and we still expect to deliver the final profile package for approval by the end of September. We use the word package because there are actually two profiles. One, which we call "the parish profile", is a full color, brochure-like document that describes St. Thomas with words and pictures. Its purpose is to show candidates who we are, our ministries, governance, etc., and articulates what we're looking for in a new vicar. This will be posted on our website for all to see, not just candidates.
The other profile, which we call the "OTM profile", is a standardized, computer based profile that contains, among other things, compensation data, statistical data, and a dozen essay questions about St. Thomas that will help the candidates get a better feel of who we are. The OTM profile is maintained by the Office for Transition Ministry (hence OTM), and the information is accessible only by candidates.
Status: We've produced the rough draft of the parish profile and are in the process of editing, and committee members are collecting information and composing responses for the rough draft of the OTM profile, for review and final draft.
